April 18th mini-update: a luxe new base I am trying out, a blend of 70% superwash blue-faced leicester wool, 20% silk and 10% cashmere.

Sock Yarn Studio presents an assortment of lovely patterns using sock yarn for things other than socks -- baby items, scarves, shawls, caps & more! Featuring patterns by me and many of my wonderful designer friends, such as Veronik Avery, Franklin Habit, Melissa Morgan-Oakes, Wendy Johnson, Tanis Gray, Laura Grutzeck and more!
If you are new to my website, please note that not all colors or items are shown on the front page of the site. Go to the left, to the categories menu, to see all the options for each type of yarn, books and/or roving. Only the newer items appear on the home page.

If you click on the "More Info" tab, it will take you to the page for a specific yarn, and then if you see a menu called "Product Options," you can click on whatever colors are listed and it will show you a photo of the color and allow you to put it in your cart. I'm not sure if it's apparent from looking at the front page that this is how the site works....

The website is constantly evolving, so please be patient as I tweak things to make them better.
Trying out a luscious new fingering-weight base: 70% superwash BFL, 20% silk. 10% cashmere. Each skein is approx. 430 yds/100g of gorgeousness.

Favorite base Superwash Merino Classic in DK weight! Each skein is appr 260 yds/4 oz, and same 100% superwash merino w/ nice twist & knits at approx. 5.5 sts per inch on US 4-6 needle.
