Buying yarn on-line can be a little nerve-wracking: how do you know if the yarn is beautiful and soft if you can't see it and feel it?
To give you additional confidence, I've listed below some actual comments taken from customer emails, as well as recent reviews by knitting-related publications.
- Vogue Knitting magazine writes: "In an age where mass production is
the norm, one-of-a-kind items are a true luxury. Carol Sulcoski of
Black Bunny Fibers handdyes her yarns in small batches, frequently
updating the colorways. Her lace blends are unparalleled."
- "Got the two new yarns today, love them
both, of course I love the colors! Can't wait to start something with
the "tight twist" since it looks a lot like that base you had for the
sock club, similar to Trekking Pro Natura. I loved that one and wear
those socks all the time!" -- D.S.
- "Thanks for your book and your beautiful work" -- M.
- I spun up one of my Fiber Club fibers and plied it with some charcoal alpaca singles to make some
lovely sock yarn that made these socks.[T]he yarn is soft and
warm and I think, rather beautiful." -- J.W.
- "I LOVE the yarn, I LOVE the colors, and I’m beginning to enjoy knitting socks! Sock #2 is already underway! YEAH!" -- Dee S.
- "I got 4 ounces of the Coopworth fiber dyed in the “Team Jacob” colorway.
I spun it up very loose to a bulky yarn, and got 227 yards out of it.
This fiber was absolutely delicious, and I spun it up far to fast
because I was so entranced by watching the colors go past as I spun." -- E.
- "I finished Aimee’s Legwarmers for my niece; I used Stella that Carol
custom-dyed for me, the colorway is “Quicksilver.” The yarn is
absolutely gorgeous, and I have enough left over for a shawl for me!" -- D.T.
- "Love it, love it! It was terribly fun to spin-- I was sorry that I
finished it. Happy, but sorry. <--- that made more sense in my head." -- L.H.
- "Your talent and eye for color is an inspiration to me! I may have said
this already but I’ve loved everything in the club so far. Thank you for
your time and energy!" -- L.
- "I finished a version of Hannah Fettig’s Lightweight Pullover
in some of Carol’s Alpaca/Shetland Laceweight in Mauve Mocha. Great
colors, nicely warm and, as the name would suggest, weighs very little" -- A.B.
- "Cashsock drapes beautifully and so wonderfully soft." -- T.
